Georgia Healthcare Centre is a leading private preventive and performance-focused medical clinic in Vancouver. We specialize in comprehensive health assessments, athletic performance screening, and personalized wellness programs for active individuals, athletes, and professionals seeking data-driven insights into their health and performance.
 

We are seeking a Kinesiologist or Exercise Physiologist to join our multidisciplinary medical team on a part-time basis, supporting our Athletic Health, Performance Screening, and Sport & Wellness programs.
 

This role is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about movement science, performance optimization, injury prevention, and evidence-based testing within a premium clinical environment.

Role Review 

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced physical, functional, and physiological testing, interpreting results, and developing individualized exercise and movement-based programs. You will work closely with physicians and allied health professionals to support preventive health, athletic performance, and long-term wellness outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 

Assessment & Testing

  • Conduct comprehensive movement, functional, and biomechanical assessments

  • Perform cardiorespiratory and fitness testing, including:

    • VO₂ max or submaximal aerobic capacity testing

    • Cardiovascular and metabolic fitness assessments

    • Strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance testing

  • Deliver health and performance screening protocols aligned with clinic programs

  • Identify movement dysfunctions, injury risk factors, and performance limitations
     

Program Design & Implementation

  • Design and implement individualized exercise, corrective, and conditioning programs

  • Deliver sport performance, wellness, and injury prevention programs

  • Support weight management, metabolic health, and lifestyle optimization through structured exercise interventions

  • Provide return-to-activity and performance optimization recommendations
     

Clinical Collaboration & Patient Care

  • Collaborate closely with physicians and allied health professionals

  • Educate patients on:

    • Proper movement patterns and technique

    • Injury prevention strategies

    • Exercise adherence and long-term physical health

  • Monitor patient progress, modify programs, and track measurable outcomes

  • Maintain accurate, professional clinical documentation and reporting

Qualifications & Requirements

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting advanced physical, functional, and physiological testing, interpreting results, and developing individualized exercise and movement-based programs. You will work closely with physicians and allied health professionals to support preventive health, athletic performance, and long-term wellness outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or Human Kinetics

  • Registered or eligible for registration with BCAK (British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists)
    (or relevant Exercise Physiology credential, if applicable)

  • Strong knowledge of:

    • Anatomy and biomechanics

    • Exercise physiology

    • Movement assessment and testing protocols

  • Experience in a clinical, medical, or performance-based setting preferred

  • Excellent communication, assessment, and patient education skills

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team

Preferred Assets (Strong Assets)

  • Experience with VO₂ max, aerobic fitness, and cardiovascular testing

  • Functional Movement Systems (FMS) certification or equivalent

  • Experience working with athletic or highly active populations

  • Background in corrective exercise, movement screening, or performance training

  • Interest in preventive medicine, longevity, and data-driven health optimization
